The tire tread is made from a compound of natural rubber, silica and canola oil, which provides grip in extreme winter conditions, endurance against wear and tear and wet grip. The canola oil increases tear resistance and gives the tire good grip on ice and snow. The high proportion of silica in the compound means that Nokian Hakkapeliitta 7 has an extremely low rolling resistance, thus reducing fuel consumption and harmful emissions.
Tread pattern improves stability and driving properties.
The tread pattern is symmetrical and has a fixed rolling direction. The middle area of the tread boosts the tire’s driving properties on bare asphalt. The supporting rib in the middle stabilizes the tire and improves lateral grip.
